Local Venture Provides Healthy Prepared Meals

When it comes to healthy eating in the Baltimore area, there are few people who are thought of as readily as Greg Nalley and Nick Ehrlich. Nalley, an award-winning chef and restauranteur and Ehrlich, a recognized trainer and corporate wellness coach, recently threw their collective expertise into a new venture that is taking the Baltimore area by storm.

Launched in January, Forward Fresh, a healthy prepared meal business provides prepackaged, portioned and healthy meals for Baltimore residents who are looking to enjoy their healthy diets while busy with their day-to-day lives. Their meals are receiving rave reviews from their customers and are ready to heat and eat. Meals are available for pickup or delivery Monday-Friday, and they offer same-day delivery on orders placed before noon.

“Our meals are where fitness and flavor collide,” Ehrlich says.

The creator of Lean Life Revolution, a corporate wellness company in Baltimore, Ehrlich connected with Nalley when the two brainstormed about a way to enter the prepared meal space.

“I was familiar with the prepared meal space from being in the fitness industry for so long and recognized that no one was bringing the kind of culinary magic to their food like Greg had created at his Nalley Fresh restaurants,” Ehrlich says. “I knew that if we teamed up and created our own business that we could take the prepared meal business by storm.”

And while new to the prepared meal delivery space, Nalley is no stranger to the food business. A career chef with decades of culinary expertise, he founded and is the culinary director for 10 Nalley Fresh restaurants, after a personal health scare that pointed him in the direction of making food that tasted great while being healthy.

“I was excited to start this business with Nick as I knew it was a chance to show people that healthy food didn’t have to be boring and bland,” Nalley says. “I love introducing our customers to new and delicious flavors without adding unnecessary calories, chemicals or sodium, and am seriously proud of the meals we have created.”

And while Forward Fresh is already a hit, they are still adding improvements to their product, their offerings and their availability.

“Our goal is to create a business that helps people maintain their healthy lifestyles without sacrificing taste or enjoyment. We are constantly working to improve and perfect our process, product and customer service in order to provide the best possible customer experience. We are where fitness and flavor collide, and we want to help Baltimore discover a whole new way to eat healthy!”
